For me, though, nothing beats the old feeling of walking into a record store and browsing through new releases for hours at a time.Īlas, the modern conveniences of having gigabytes of new shit funneled into your ears simply by opening your phone these days is nice, but this week’s new music is a trip into a universe of nostalgia for me. Despite the lack of a physical release the album found itself on many a best albums of the year -list in 2014. Stylistically, Kairon IRSE have always been something of a fusion of space rock and shoegaze, however, Ruination heralds a quirkier, more prog rock-like era for the band.
